The Story Library provides the following services to CBC faculty.
Faculty can request instruction for their classes by filling out the Library Instruction Request Form.
For questions regarding library instruction, please contact Library Director, Rachel Whittingham, (rwhittingham@cbc.edu).
Faculty can request the library subscribe to a database or other electronic resources on a trial basis by contacting Library Director, Rachel Whittingham (rwhittingham@cbc.edu). Please email your request with the name of the resource's specific publisher or provider information. Once the trial access has been established, you will be contacted with information on how to access the trial, dates it will be available, etc.
After you have previewed a resource through trial access, we ask that you fill out the Database Trial Feedback form. This will help us make a decision about whether the library should purchase the resource.
Faculty can fill in the Request a Purchase form to recommend Story Library purchase a book, journal, or other type of resource.
Faculty can make textbooks, course readings or other class materials available to their students by placing their items on reserve at the Story Library. Faculty can specify the checkout period and request the material not leave the library.
To place items on reserve, visit the library and speak with a librarian. All reserved materials will be available within 24 hours and can be found at the library's Information Desk.
