What to do when a student cannot remember username/password or cannot log in with username/password:

• remind student that username is front half of CBC email: first initial of first name, first initial of middle name, and full last name
• remind student that if he/she never changed password, then password is CBCMustangs2022!
• if this doesn't work, send student to IT Dept to have username/password reset
• IT Dept is on 3rd floor of Watkins Building--south entrance side, in front of computer lab

The copier now has a code that has to be entered for people who want to make copies. Here are some steps to follow if a patron wants to make copies.

• If a patron comes to you asking to make copies, tell them that copies are 10 cents per page and that they will need to pay for their copies in advance. This will prevent patrons from making copies without paying for them. If a patron does not have the money to pay, let them know that they will have to come back when they have money. If they give you any trouble, notify your supervisor. Also let the patron know that if they end up making more copies than they paid for, they will need to return to the front desk to pay for their copies.
• After the patron pays for the copies, you will go over to the copier and enter the code. Do not let them see what the code is and do not give them the code. I sent all of you the code on “Remind,” so check it if you haven’t already done so. You will type in the code and press “OK.” The code will change periodically and I will send the code to all of you on “Remind” when it does.
• After the patron is finished making copies you will need to go over to the copier and lock the screen. You can do this by pressing the button that has an image of a lock on it. It’s on the far right side under the “power” button. 

• Is printer out of paper? 
  • open printer paper drawer and check
  • if printer is out of paper, restock with paper from supply in workroom
• If printer still doesn't print, check for a paper jam. Printer will tell you if it is jammed AND provide instructions on how to un-jam it!
• If all else fails, and you cannot unjam printer, write down # of printer and call Capital Business Machines (phone # is on side of printer). Tell them what is happening and request service for the machine. Give them machine #.
